I know many people who own small businesses and follow their businesses on Facebook. With this class, I have become much more aware of the content I see on social media and who is posting it. One thing I have noticed is how helpful social media can be in finding new customers and marketing one's company.
However, it is interesting to me how not every company markets the same on various social medias. Some people post strictly about their products and company, while others will share things from their personal lives or political beliefs. I have also noticed while some post strictly original content, many small businesses share content created by others. Some small companies have separate accounts for their personal life and others share an account for personal and business matters.
It made me think about which one is the most successful way to market to customers. For me personally, I enjoy seeing some of the behind the scenes of these small business. However, I hate when they have posts showing every hour of their lives...this may be interesting for one day to see exactly what they do, but every day gets very old, vert fast. I am not sure what is the best way to market on social media, but it is very interesting to compare the differences.
